Not just the hotel staff were friendly but so were the people staying there. The advantage of having a continental breakfast was brilliant too.
I liked the location, ambience and service, and the cleaniness of the hotel.
The last night of my 5 night stay, I had noisy neighbours. I suggest that the hotel enforce a quiet policy between the hours of midnight and 7 am. The couple kept me up most of the night, banging door as the left and entered their unit several times in the early morning hours, being quite loud when they were in the unit.
The free breakfast on the roof was a pleasant surprise.
The price for overnight parking is pretty expensive. I believe it's roughly the same as any other place I've stayed in the Gaslamp, but it's still a lot.
A small property and friendly staffs make all the difference.
Glass door on each room. No sound proof when people walk and talk on the hall way especially when the bed is positioned right near the entrance of the room.
The location is the best for shopping and restraunts. Not to mention the staffs are also cheerful and that would make us so confortable. And you can get abosorbed in the good old era with nice interiors in a room.
I had a trouble with toilet which flash was getting weak. But the hotel staff of the hotel fixed it whenever i complained. I get satified with its fast aid.
Polite and quick service, friendly people at the desk, clean and well kept room
safe deposit box - mechanical key rather than electronic key, hard to reach (low on floor)
I loved my stay at the Gaslamp Plaza Suites. It was very convenient to the Convention Center. I was able to walk to most activities of interest. There were many great restaurants within walking distance. The rooftop terrace was amazing with a great view- a beautiful and relaxing place to get some work done on my computer. My one bedroom suite was very attractive, interesting, spacious and comfortable. Some staff were very knowledgeable about restaurants and other sights.
The breakfast was totally inadequate- only sugary pastries/cereal. Would be better if fresh fruit was offered daily- was only there sometimes and if boiled eggs were added daily for protein. I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to get up for this breakfast. Also, my room was facing the front of the hotel which was great for me; however, some others might find it too noisy as the hotel is in the middle of the nightlife district with loud music, etc. Noise doesn't bother me so my room was fine. Most would probably find it difficult to sleep.
My sister and I stayed here to explore the city of San Diego. We walked the whole city, shopped and enjoyed the downtown night without ever needing a taxi. Everything was in walking distance. Great location!
Location and helpful and very friendly staff! Gives you a perfekt base in the centre of San Diego, juinor suites are big, couch/bed/2xtv/refrig/microwave+ Gaslamp is the place to stay!
As many american hotels, the continental breakfast are not a exciting meal, but they do have some options, and the rooftop area is nice in the summer.
- Its central location in the Gaslamp area, where all the restaurant and night life around the hotel immediately. For its location, spacious room, courtesy continental breakfast the hotel is good value for money.
vale parking was great!
terribly and Extremely noise during night time and I could not sleep during night (especially weekend).
central location right in middle of restaurants and bars
Excellent location in the heart of the entertainment district in San Diego. Short trip to the airport. Easy access to public transportation. Creative use of a building not built to be a hotel. Extremely helpful front desk. Very reasonable price for the location. Large room.
Proximity to Little Italy, Petco Park and fine restaraunts.
Outside noise levels can be noisy on weekend nights.
